Preschoolers

Children are the greatest in the Kingdom!

We are a kindergarten readiness program. The children experience "center play" from the age of 2 and up. NHCDC provides a planned curriculum and weekly lesson plans. However, we believe that children learn through play. We teach a combination of the Bible story, songs and bible verses for every letter of the alphabet. Through these programs, children are exposed to a variety of concepts such as alphabets, colors, numbers, shapes, sizes, calendars, weather and feelings.

Other areas that are covered include safety rules, positive self-image, animals, seasons, plants and community helpers. Above all, we hope to teach your child socialization skills – the ability to get along well with others (children and adults). This is just one of the essential skills we teach that your child will use his/her entire life. It is our goal to promote a positive childcare experience for the child and the parent.

Because we are a child development center we do nothing based upon chronological age alone. This is a must in order to meet the child where they are.

We go outside for play twice a day, weather permitting. We have a full gymnasium in the event of inclement weather. We also have daily Chapel Services. In these services, children learn the pledges to both the U.S. and Christian Flags. They also learn a scripture verse for each letter of the alphabet.
