One Year Olds

Children are the greatest in the Kingdom!

In our one year old class the children learn their colors and shapes as well as experience a short circle time with their friends. We demonstrate sharing when the children bring a "show-and-tell" from home. The teachers follow the lead of the children. Reading is very important at this age and the teachers do plenty at circle times.

NHCDC provides a planned curriculum and weekly lesson plans. However, we believe that children learn through play. Children are exposed to a variety of concepts such as alphabets, colors, numbers, shapes, sizes, weather and feelings.

We go outside for play everyday, weather permitting.
