The infant room provides care that will stimulate your baby's learning cognitively, emotionally and physically.

Infants will remain on their individual schedules. Each child will have a completed daily report regarding food, behavior, naps and diapering. Parent(s) are responsible for brining diapers and wipes as needed. Also, for the first year, parents are responsible for providing all food and drink for the infants. Instructions for feeding each infant is documented on individual feeding schedules filled out by the parent(s). Each infant will use the same crib daily and have a personal “cubby” for their belongings. If the child is under 15 months, you will need to furnish a feeding schedule. Please label everything you bring with your child’s name. Please note: bottles and lids must be labeled with your child’s name and the date and BM if it's breast milk.

Infants have a strong need to be touched, rocked and fed on demand to insure trust later on in life. NHCDC strives to meet all these needs.

In order to reduce the risks of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, all infants (12 months & under) are required to be placed on their backs for sleep. House Bill 152. We are SIDS certified by the state of N.C.
